Yay! I am so looking forward to finally starting my career in Public Relations!.. well, it was something I have been trying to get into since I finished NS. *nods* and the chance is finally here! ^-^ haha..

There's probably alot of overtime work to be done, since I am still very green to PR. but no worries!.. I always believe that I'm still young (haha.. like 21 only O-kay >.<" lol), so having to work late a few nights is totally no problemo to me. yup yups..

On another note, don't you find the way sg-reans walk soooooo irritating? people haphazardly make an abrupt left turn or right turn. and some even just stop in their tracks, right in the middle of a bustling crowd, just to answer their phone. And sg-reans tend not to keep within the 'flow' of the crowd. they simply love zig-zagging through the crowd.. *rolls eyes* it seriously irritates me to no end whenever I encounter such crowds in town during the weekends.

Can't people just be patient and walk nicely and be a little bit more considerate to other commuters? and they say that sg is a very gracious society *rolls eyes*.. oh well, that is the main reason why I avoid going out on the weekends. I'd rather hang out or do my shopping on a weekday when it's nice and quiet..

Hmmm... I've got to catch up on my anime watching soon. and also go for a haircut! I wonder what hairstyle I should cut....... then again, I usually end up cutting the same old hairstyle! >.<"

Changes changes changes

In lieu of some complaints that my blog is a little difficult to navigate, I've solved the issue by aligning everything the way Beyonce does it - "to the left, to the left" XD. though I personally prefer everything to be centralised and somewhat more symmetrical.

And also made it such that there is more than just 1 post displaying at any given time. ^-^ though the scrollbars are seriously bugging me, a little. Well, but now at least the main body of my blog will definitely not move, and will display correctly in 'most' browsers, I think >.<"

Though my older posts with photos in them still don't fit very well into the screen.

Bleah. Everyone should really get 22" monitors like me!!! now, that would solve all the resolution issues, won't it? but it would probably cause an even greater uproar XD g'night y'all~!

Haha.. Happy 2010~! Been a long time since I updated my blog.. a week perhaps? well, nothing much has been going on really. Work is kinda fun.. I can be really busy for a period of time and suddenly, nothing to do.. Hmmm.. I'd really rather have alot of work to do than to be stuck with nothing to do, and having to crack my head wondering what I can do next. XD *nods*

Argh! all my anime series are ending already! so fast... only 13 episodes. so I decided to re-watch Yakitate Japan! which is about bread-making. ^-^ cooking-themed anime are really lighthearted and after watching them, you kinda have the urge to make something yourself! haha.. wish I had an oven at home so that I can bake bread, seriously.

Anyways, I do hope that 2010 will bring much much more fruitful times for everyone. Considering that it is OUR YEAR! the year of the TIGERS. haha.. I know it's supposed to be "bad" in Feng Sui or whatever to have your zodiac year, but seriously, who believes that kinda stuff anyway? Life is what YOU make of it, yea? ^-^ Ciaossu

Had a rather quiet Christmas this year ^-^ which is nice. No big hoo haa, no huge party, no over indulgence. XD though I did go for a X'mas buffet dinner. but I swear I only took very small portions of everything, instead of just stuffing myself. haha. So by the time everyone else finished eating, my food was already digested.

Mmmm.. I haven't had GOOD food in a looong time. well once I get my first paycheck (though it's seriously too little - can't expect much from a temp job yea? ^-^), I'm so gonna go eat something NICE. ^-^ maybe Prego @ Swissotel, or Marmalade Pantry @ Ion *nods*.. buffets are.. well, just alright only.. I'd actually rather eat quality than quantity, seriously.

Okies! I'm finally done with the Profile section. Animoto is a great tool to create short 30-sec videos. Simple, Fast and very professionally executed - and it's free too~! XD

Well, now you don't need to hassle with Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro just to create a simple montage.. ^-^ *nods*

Oh and I'm sticking to showing one post on the main page, to avoid the nasty scrollbars that cannot be edited in browsers like Firefox XD If you wanna read older posts, ya can go to the 'links' page. Ciaosu~!

I was browsing through my best friend's laptop today and came across soooo many of my old photos >.<" haha... all the way back to when I was in secondary school. My god. It's one of those things you never want to show the world, i tell you! XD

Anyway, I was rather intrigued.. so I started digging up my own collection of old photos... of when I was living in Melbourne. By the way, the header for this post was something I designed way back in uni.. thought it looked kinda nice.

haha, It's weird how I don't have the same kind of aesthetics that I used to have back then. I can't create something so random and sketchy nowadays.. *nods* I have the tendency to keep my designs clean and rather understated. *shrugs*

Well... let's see some old cam-whoring photos of me ok?.. not that old la, actually. Probably 4 - 6 years ago only? wahahaha...

Ahh.. I think this was when I just went to Aussieland. Probably first-year matriculation at college.. haha my hair was sooooo long in the photo on the extreme left - definitely first year in Melbourne. Then after that I started wearing contact lenses instead of spectacles and cut my hair shorter.. think it was supposed to be more korean styled at that time.. haha

ok, so I started university at Melbourne Uni.. and moved into my own apartment, instead of the high security student hostel which I used to stay in. It was a fantastic apartment with a rather nice view of the sunrise.. good thing I was on a higher floor so the other apartments across from me did not block my view.. *nods* you can see how I pasted all my drawings on the wall behind me >.<" though I wasn't supposed to, cuz it will damage the paint. haha

I really like my hair in these photos.. I think I got it cut at Shunji Matsuo. the stylists there are geniuses. well, or at least the ones at that time were geniuses. perfect shape, not too thin, easy to style and most important of all... alot of layers. you can see the texturization right? argh! I wonder why I can't get my hair to be like that anymore.. no hairstylist seem to be able to re-create that texture with my hair anymore... bleah. anyway, moving on...

Since I had my own kitchen in the new apartment, I cooked quite alot.. ^-^ that's just one of the steak I did with a mushroom/pepper sauce, mash potatoes, lots of veggies and of course a glass of red wine! XD It was kinda nice having access to cheap wine and Jack Daniels Coke.. hmmm.. though I've kinda stopped drinking now. which is SO WEIRD! I realise now that I don't do alot of things I used to do in the past.. haha

haha.. these photos tell an interesting story.. when I found them in my laptop, they were named "winter01", "winter02", "autumn01", etc.. So I was thinking, why would I name my photos by the seasons... haha then I remembered how I used to have photoshoots for every season. and I would publish them on my blog as my Autumn/Winter collection.. XD like seriously. Actually I'm sure I had alot more photos, but alot are already missing.. long story. XD

These are all my past blog layouts.. which look really cool to me right now. I can't believe that I was capable of designing such products. XD it's like my current blog design is soooo boring compared to those I did in the past. *nods* I wonder where all my freedom of expression went? now I'm just plain ol' boring.. tch.. I need to get back my aesthetics!

I actually really like the retro, black-and-white layout. That has got to be my favourite one! I remember that the black circles are roll-overs which also serve as external links to various websites I visit. and I used to play music on my blog too! It was kinda cool.. I could do so many things with the amount of free time I had in Melbourne. plus I'm not pressured to do anything, so I can take my time to play around with photoshop and design my blog. maybe that's why I've lost my aesthetics.. I need to get back the laid-back lifestyle and really 'feel' the art. XD wahahaha..

And then it was the final year in Melbourne.. that's when my hair kinda got into that shape/length/style.. I can tell roughly when my photos are taken judging from my hair alone. XD it may seem the same to other people.. but trust me when I say that 'I know'. XD then again, I could be wrong.. *shrugs* hahaha...

oh and see those "eye-moticons"? It was something I invented for showing my moods on my blog. but I used it only for a short while cuz some people felt it was kinda creepy.. and partly also because I got too lazy to add an additional line at the bottom of every post with a "eye-moticon" for my mood. XD haha.. blogging used to be so much fun! with all the crazy things I did..

Wow. what long rant today.. and to end off, we always must return to the present right? *nods*

What to do when you're bored at home...

1.) Download loads and loads of videos... including concerts, MVs, movies, Korean talk shows that I don't understand.

2.) Play online games like Cafe World, Restaurant City, Luna Online.. (but then again, they get boring after a while >.<")

3.) Poke Gobbly when he is sleeping and quickly run away.. (we all need some excitement in our lives, right? XD I mean excitement for Gobbly, of course *rolls eyes*)

4.) Read.. oh yeah, I did borrow a couple of books from the National Library to read. *nods* but I've been so lazy to read. only went through like half of one. will go read them after this blog post is done! haha

5.) Camwhore! haha.. and by that I don't mean camwhoring in my home clothes. *bleah* Rather, it's dressing up for no apparent reason (not going out, not meeting anybody, just staying home).. and taking photos! hahaha.. you all must think that I'm crazy now. but it's kinda fun ya know.

Ta da..! the product of my Absolute Boredom... *big smile* XD

aye. anyway, I just watched Paranormal Activity - the movie which was just in cinemas a few weeks ago (probably still showing, i think).. I downloaded it last night and while downloading it, read alot of reviews on it. some synopsis here and there.. the director's comments, etc etc.. and eventually, when the movie finished downloading, I was too freaked out to watch it! >.<" hahaha

so I waited till I woke up this morning to finally watch it.. and seriously.. "the scariest movie of 2009" & "Don't see it alone" & "What happens when you sleep" (these are all taglines used for the movie advertisement).. totally overrated.

the only really scary part in the movie was when the female protagonist jolts out of bed with a loud gasp because she had a nightmare.. -.-" which was a cheap scare, really. but it did gave me a shock. hahaha.. the other so called 'hauntings' - doors closing and opening, loud thuds, footsteps, shadows, footprints, dragged out of bed by an unseen force.. *rolls eyes* what so scary about it?

I read something like.. Stephen Spielberg saw the film and brought it back to the studio the next day in a trash bag, saying that the tape is haunted. *rolls eyes*

The Exorcist is scary. This unscripted (i think the actors were not even given a script to read from.. it's like they were given the backbone of the story and they just impromptu-ed all their lines), hand-held camera kinda cinematography, is like totally not scary..

so to wash off the bad after-taste of that lousy movie, I watched The Proposal! ^-^ like finally managed to download it cuz I missed it when it screened in cinemas.. and it was really really really good! Sandra Bullock had hips like Beyonce =X but she's still hot. and Ryan Reynolds is shooo cute.. haha.. he's got this "i'm so innocent", "deer caught in the headlights" kinda look throughout..

Well, next I'm gonna see what other movies there are to download. XD oh and also continue watching all my anime! ^-^ haha.. and I probably won't have the time to camwhore once I start working. so better make good use of my time, right? lols. seeya!

X'mas is coming~

Wow. the weather has been BOOMS lately. soooo cold and nice! ^-^ my favourite kind of weather to chill. don't you just love the smell of rain?

Anyway, Christmas is around the corner! wheeee~! Have you guys been to Orchard road? they have already started putting up the x'mas decorations. haha.. Tangs is always the most elaborate and extravagant one out of the lot. It kinda made me wonder... hmm.. who exactly is the one decorating for Tangs every year.. it's covered in gold this year. which is so apt. considering the rising gold prices this season.

looks like only the trendy and cool people are gonna be wearing gold this season. while everyone else who can't afford it will be grabbing up silver (which is like soooo last year =D).. hmmm.. actually I personally don't like gold or silver. I kinda like the color in between.. abit goldish, yet silvery, almost bronze but not bronze.. haha *shrugs* I know i'm wierd.

Cam-whoring time!! man, my hair is finally starting to feel like it is getting longer. XD and so, i'm more in the mood for taking photos too. *nods* and Gobbly is my cam-whoring partner!

It's difficult to get Gobbly to stop moving, really. he just keeps on trying to crawl out of my hand while I try to take a decent photo. XD but after like 10+ shots, I finally managed to get a couple of 'nicer' ones. ^-^

Oh yah, we were at the Bugis pet lovers' outlet today.. and there were these 2 ham hams that fought so aggressively that they bled! =X ouch.. the staff immediately separated the 2. but they were injured already.. so poor thing. I hope they recover well.. I think one got injured near its eye and the other at its leg. but I didn't get to see them up-close >.<" yucks..

hmmm... but I still wanna get 2 hami hams in the future, I think.. haha. well, I will get another huge cage for the other hami and connect their cages via a tube.. so if they want some privacy, they can always stay in their own cage.. but if they're feeling lonely, they can visit each other! ^-^ don't think there will be much domestic violence that way.. I hope. ^-^

Yups.. and I'm playing Luna Online now.. it's this chibi (i.e. cutesy) Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) thing. kinda like Maple Story, but in 3D and cuter, and less crowded. haha. and I'm also playing Jade Dynasty.. but JD is kinda boring. too cheena-fied. cuz it's all about chinese martial arts. very.. traditional. *nods*

I also have like 16 different anime that I'm keeping track of these days: Bleach, Naruto Shippuden, 11eyes, Armed Librarians (sounds cheesy, but it's not. trust me. it's kinda cool cuz it's about how people turn into 'books' when they die), Yumeiro Patissiere (oooh I love these cooking/pastry anime XD it's always so sweet), To Aru Kagaku no Railgun , The Sacred Blacksmith, Nyan Koi!, Elemental Hunters (this one is cheesy, but I still watch it >.<"), Kobato, Kampfer, Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn, Darker than Black (this one is kinda more serious and dark), Miricale Train (hot guys helping out lost oujou-sama.. haha. ya gotta love that), Letter Bee, Asura Cryin S2... I think that's about all. hahaha.. they all update at different days of the week. so it's kinda difficult to keep track of them all. I keep forgetting if I've seen episode 4 already or was it episode 5.. cuz they are almost at the same episodes, except for a few. XD

WOW. seriously, I didn't know that I had 16 different on-going anime series to watch. I always felt like it was just 5 or 6 titles that I'm watching every week! >.<" now that I've listed them out, it's 16!! >.<" haha.. ciaossu peeps!

NyAk nyAk nyAk... It's that time of the year again where ghouls and zombies and gobbly gobblers roam the streets! NyaK nyAk nYaK..

My god. well, you all know how i've been applying for jobs lately right? yeah.. so I went for this one interview yesterday for Event Sales Exec. and it was soooo wierd. Firstly, the receptionist/secretary/whoever called me like an hour before my interview just to 'remind' me of my appointment and asked me if I knew how to get there..

Then when I arrived, as usual, they ask you to fill up a form blah blah blah.. and since it was such a hot day (you all know how much I sweat yah >.<") the receptionist offered me cold water and tissues... *rolls eyes* (which I kindly rejected..)

Nevermind that.. so I filled up the forms passed it back to her and went back to the couch area to wait for my turn to be interviewed.. while waiting, the receptionist came over yet again and gave me some magazines to browse.. like seriously, OVERLY FRIENDLY.

Anyway, so I went home and google-ed the company up.. cuz anyway the HR Manager who interviewed me was kinda ambiguous too... so google-ed them. No company info, company website did not mention who their managing director is, and best of all I found so many blogs and forums stating that the company seemed kind "fishy"..

They called me for a second interview today (claiming that I'll get hands-on insight into the job cuz it will last from 0830 to 1700 *not being paid to stay there the whole day*).. but after clarifying with the HR Manager that it was a purely commission-based job, I turned down the offer. Nyak nyAk nyAk...

I'm not interested in a purely sales job. and on top of that totally commission-based, without a basic salary. they could have at least mentioned that in their job-advertisement right.. *rolls eyes* waste my time go down to Paya Lebar for nothing.. anyway, some blogs claim it is MLM system, others say they are trying to get free labour.. blah blah blah.

Ok I've got a Gobbly Gobbler in my house! nYak nyAk Nyak.. not a goblin, mind you. but a little furry gobbler who gobbles up anything small enough to fit into his mouth..

Yay~! I've got a mahjong session today with my army colleagues.. ^-^ so fun. I usually only get to play mahjong during Chinese New Year. XD

Yay~! Congratulations to me, cuz I've finally ORD-ed =D officially completed my full-time national service on 25 Oct 2009. ^-^ but really, the feeling is not that great. it just feels normal to me. *shrugs* I don't understand why everybody is fussing over it. haha.. oh well.. it's just a phase of life that all Singaporean guys are forced to go through. nothing much.

Anyway, I went back to camp last Friday to do my ORD clearance and collect all the usual stuffs.. and also had lunch with my colleagues and branch head ^-^ well, the lunch was really for Harish's birthday.. *nods*

oh and I also celebrated my birthday last week! was it last week? or the week before?.. haha getting old already, can't remember such things. >.<" haha.. went for dinner with a few of my friends.. thanks for all the presents and well wishes peeps! ^-^ yah yah.. every year I keep saying that I DO NOT want any surprise or celebration but everyone just won't allow me to do that.. *pouts* a birthday is just another ordinary day.. what so special about it?

Anyway, here are a few presents my friends bought for me..

a gorgeous bag from Harish! ^-^ I've always wanted a big bag like this.. haha. and everyone keeps saying that it is really nice. Yay~!

2 pairs of shoes from my baby~! 1 formal, 1 casual. both from Pedro. ^-^ cool yeah? both are like so my kinda style.. and I'm so happy that I found the perfect pair of shoes that I want! =D

I'm a very fast shopper. a quick browse and I will know exactly which item I like and which item I don't like.. and usually I make decisions quite fast. ^-^ cuz I already know the perfect design that will suit my style. *nods*

oh yah... Christmas is coming!!!! they have already begun decorating Orchard Road! yay~! Christmas is my favourite time of year. haha.. there are many special occasions in December *nods*.. ^-^ okok, I'm off to play CafeWorld on Facebook!.. kinda bored with Restaurant City.. so I'm cooking stuff in the Cafe for now. keke.. xoxo

Jer + Fierce = Jerierce!

Haha.. I was browsing through the photos in my PC and realised how little I've been cam-whoring lately. It's like ever since I went into army I've not been using the camera much, for obvious reasons of course (short hair T.T).

Anyway I just bought a new Tee~! from Pull and Bear. I've always like that shop, their stuff are kinda cool. totally my kinda style. somewhat like Springfield, but a tad nicer and better workmanship.

Oh and another thing I have not been doing since I've entered army is... shopping! like seriously, I don't have the mood to buy any nice clothes when I can't do much to my hair.. *nods* it's all about the hair, people.

so if you're wondering what my blog title is about.. well, 'Jer' is obvious. 'Fierce' is how Tyra Banks likes her models to be (super smizzzzzeeeee! hahaha XD). Anyway, I'm gonna ORD in about 6 days time! my official last day in army is 23 Oct, though I'm clearing up my annual leave till then.. totally can't wait to GET MY HAIR BACK! seriously, it's soooooo frustrating when you walk around the city, and almost everyone else has fabulous hair, except stupid NSFs who must keep their hair short and neat (blah blah blAH)..

Haiz... how long will I have to wait for my nice hair grow back.. well, but I don't want it that long like I used to have it. I kinda want something more like this:

you really gotta hate the weather nowadays. I can't stand it! it's so hot! and it's giving me major outbreaks. *grumbles*.. oh well, hot weather means I'll just have to sleep early. not like I usually stay up late anyway.

Long time since I've updated! >.<" haha.. lazy as usual. Anyway, I know i'm probably kinda late in this, but check out Singapore's representative for Miss World 2009, Ms Ris Low.

It wasn't so funny when my friends were reenacting it, but the videos of her on youtube are goddamn hillarious i tell you! There was even this one guy who added in a "THX" movie introduction to her interview video.. wahahaha. like totally BOOMS yah.. XD and the subtitling seriously cracks me up.. "I'm majoring in... health science.. and. horse pee telly tee". ROFLMAO!

Seriously.. why didn't they pick Rachel Kum?? in my opinion, she looks much better than Ris. More elegant too and has this certain finesse about her. *nods* Though I'm totally not interested in the Miss World pageant >.<" haha

okok.. moving on. it isn't nice to mock real people. XD fun, but not so nice right.. oh yah, you know there are these new SBS buses with alot of space for standing in the front half.. and a raised level for seats in the back? and then there is this ONE seat in the front that is more spacious than the normal one-seater, and yet too crammpy for two adults to squeeze in to?

like seriously... I totally did not expect anyone to think that those seats can accommodate more than one adult. and yet there was this one lady who insisted on squeezing her big-*ss butt into my seat. what a total biatch. first of all, she just shamelessly planted herself beside me when there wasn't even 4inches of space left on that seat. secondly, she got off 3 stops after. TOTALLY pissed me off man..

So I bitched about her on my phone right in her face. >.<" I'm not the kind who will start a fight with a stranger you know.. haha so the only thing I could do was to give her a piece of my mind indirectly. which made her turn around to give me a look, but i couldn't be bothered and rolled my eyes at her. seriously lady, that was totally un-cool. IT'S A ONE-SEATER for god's sake. it can accommodate 2 children comfortably, but obviously the seat is only for ONE adult. Tch.

Anyway G-Force was waaayyy cool! you should rush on down to your nearest cinema to catch the guinea gips, oops i mean 'pigs' (internal joke XD), in action! yups! Other than that, there seems to be nothing much else happening in my life at the moment. still waiting for my ORD and still job-hunting.. *nods* I really don't mind doing any job, as long as it keeps me occupied. maybe even retail? haha XD.. we'll just have to wait and see how things go.. I've got an interview this Tuesday at a PR/Marketing firm. Wish me the best of luck! =^-^=

ANTM Cycle 13

Woot. America's Next Top Model has a new cycle that's gonna air tomorrow in the US! Here's the opening sequence from the previous cycle 12:

Tyra Banks is way cool man! =D ya gotta love her style. Did you see that episode of The Tyra Banks Show where she took this lie detector thing? haha.. she's kinda genuine in her personality.. well, that's my opinion at least. *nods* Do catch ANTM aka. America's Next Top Model Cycle 13!! It's gonna air tomorrow in the US, which means that YouTube will probably have it uploaded by Thursday or latest Friday. Usually it's Thursday. yeaps.. ANTM rocks~! haha

And another thing that rocks is... G-Force! woohoo~! Guinea Pigs in action (no pun intended)!

It was a really enjoyable show! Kinda makes you wanna go out and grab some guinea pigs / hamsters home! cuz they are just simply so adorable like Monsieur Gobbly.. Hmmm.. the only thing is, I was just wondering how will the movie look like in 3-D. We haven't watched any movie in 3-D yet.. perhaps we should try watching the next animated movie in 3-D. *nods* seems like every single animation they release now comes in 3-D too.. be it Pixar or Disney or.. Pixar or Disney. haha it's the only 2 animation studios I know of that's actively producing animated movies. XD

Square-Enix should do one! Yeah.. Final Fantasy Advent Children wasn't even shown in cinemas here. *pouts*.. but it was shown on Channel 5. some weekend blockbuster but at 10pm time-slot; just cuz it's in Japanese with English subtitles so they don't wanna put it on prime-time. yucks. Is there gonna be another Naruto or Bleach movie? I don't think they show those in cinemas too yah? Maybe it's cuz they know it won't generate much revenue for them. But they can still show it for a shorter period of time for fanatics who will definitely pay to watch the movie, right? *shrugs* someone should seriously invest in a cinema which regularly showcase all these Japanese animations. I reckon it'll be quite popular.. *nods* well at least I'll support it! XD

Anyway it's my off day tomorrow.. and I'm gonna go watch G-force. kinda the reason why I'm introducing the big star of the movie today. haha.. it's the school holidays now, I know.. guess that means that there will be lots of kids running around orchard, dang.. oh well. *shrugs*

Oh and I have a party this Friday.. in celebration of Ron's birthday which is in October. but we're doing a pre-celebration cuz i think some of his friends are flying off to UK to study soon? or something along those lines.. >.<" and it's gonna be a Masquerade party @ Scarlet Hotel.. meaning that we all have to wear masks. hmmm.. I wonder what I should wear. gotta go shopping tomorrow too I reckon, time permitting *nods*

The Inaugural Rant

What I am listening to now:

Wow. How long has it been since I last blogged..? *rolls eyes* the number of times i've deleted then restored it then deleted it again.. hahaha. quite a roller-coaster ride huh. Well, but now I'm back again..!

Anyway, I'm currently obsessed with Restaurant City in facebook.. You get to set up your own restaurant, decorate both the interior and exterior, choose the dishes you want to serve to your customers, and the latest addition - grow your own herbs. Well, the main aim of the game is, of course, to earn more moolah! and basically trash your friends by lavishly decorating your restaurant. haha.. simple game that's not very interactive or engaging, yet somehow really fun.

Yeap, other than that I'm also anticipating my ORD! i'm so looking forward to the change of environment.. and also to start earning more money so that I can support my little hamsters in the future! >.<" hahaha just kidding. my baby hamster is really low-maintenance.. *nods* and so adorably cute! ^-^ Thanks to that special person who brought little Gobbly into my life~ ^-^
